At the Representative Town Meeting of the Town of Greenwich to be held in the Moderator’s Hall of Central Middle School on Tuesday January 20, 2009 at 8:00 P.M.(E.D.T.) the following additional item will be considered:
11. To consider and act upon the following resolution, requested by the Superintendent of Schools and approved by the Board of Education and pending approval of the Board of Estimate and Taxation.
RESOLVED, that the Board of Education be authorized to accept a one time energy assistance grant from the State of Connecticut.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education be authorized to accept a one time energy assistance grant from the State of Connecticut.
EXPLANATORY COMMENTS
The State Office of Policy and Management has notified school districts that they will be receiving heating assistance grants in accordance with Section 7(b) of Public Act 08-01 of the August 2008 Special Session. The allocations are calculated on a per pupil basis with Greenwich slated to receive $107,102.
