The Department of Health licenses Body Care Facilities (hair salons, barber shops, nail salons, etc.) on a yearly basis we currently have about 70 facilities in Greenwich. These facilities are inspected by the Environmental Services staff. If you are planning to open a facility download the files below for the information we will need to start the process. You will need Health Department Approval prior to filing with the Building Department. If you have any questions please call the office at 622-7838.
Please submit the Body Care Plan Review form and the Body Care License application when submitting plans for approval.
Effective July 1, 2007 the fees are as follows:
Body Care Plan Review: $66.00
Body Care License to Operate: $101.00
Checks should be made payable to the Town of Greenwich.
